The Waymart Wind Energy Center was completed in 2003. The 65 Megawatt project is located in northeastern Pennsylvania. The project consists of 43 GE Wind Energy 1.5 MW wind turbines and is connected to the transmission lines of PPL Electric Utilities. Electricity generated by the wind turbines is being sold to Exelon Generation Company, LLC.

These turbines at the Waymart Wind Energy Center are part of the largest wind power generation facility in Pennsylvania.
